Terms of service
Last updated 6 November 2026. These terms apply to the Luwato website (luwato.com) and the Luwato iOS and Android apps.
1. What Luwato is
Luwato helps you plan trips: packing lists, checklists, destination information, maps, a day plan, events, deals and a travel assistant. By using Luwato you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
2. Guides are a starting point, not professional advice
- Trip guides and assistant answers are written with the help of artificial intelligence and public data. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong.
- Prices, fares, exchange-rate conversions, opening times and weather are estimates, not quotes.
- Always check entry requirements, visas, health advice and safety information with official government sources before you book or travel. Luwato is not responsible for decisions you make based on its content.
- If you spot something wrong, use Report a problem on the guide so we can fix it.
3. Your account
- You can use Luwato without an account. If you create one (by email, Google, Facebook or Apple), keep access to it secure and tell us if you think someone else has used it.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Luwato, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
- You can delete your data at any time. See Delete your data.
4. Using Luwato fairly
Please don't misuse Luwato. That includes trying to break or overload it, getting around usage limits, scraping or reselling its content in bulk, using the assistant for anything unlawful or harmful, or pretending to be someone else. We may limit or close access for anyone who does.
5. Bookings, partners and links
- Luwato doesn't sell flights, hotels, tickets or other travel products. Links take you to partner websites, and any booking is between you and that partner, under their terms.
- Some links are affiliate links: we may earn a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you.
- Deals and codes are set by partners and can change or end without notice.
6. Paid plans
Luwato is currently free. If we introduce paid plans or a Trip Pass, their price, what's included, billing, cancellation and refunds will be shown clearly before you pay, and these terms will be updated. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play also follow Apple's or Google's terms.
7. Our content and yours
The Luwato name, design and software belong to us. You may use guides for your own personal trip planning and share them with people you travel with. Destination photos are from Unsplash and belong to their photographers. Anything you type in (such as reports or notes) stays yours, and you give us permission to use it to run and improve Luwato.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Luwato running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, and features may change. We may update these terms; if the changes are significant we'll show a notice in the app.
9. Liability
Luwato is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for losses caused by relying on guide content, partner services or third-party websites. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
